US reps here to observe Ramadan
ROMPIN: The United States government has sent a team to observe how Malaysians fulfil the Muslim obligation of fasting during Ramadan.
Malaysian Ambassador to the US Datuk Seri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis said President Barack Obama had sent a team of Americans, led by an American Muslim adviser, to the country to experience how locals practise fasting.
Dr Jamaluddin said the female adviser had been here since Tuesday.
He said Obama could have wanted to know how Muslims and non-Muslims here mark the holy month.

I am sure they'll be amazed at how we Malaysians (not only Muslims) flock to Pasar Ramadhan to shop for the endless variety of food... And perhaps we can expect Americans to set up similar Ramadhan Bazaar in their country..
